Arched Bronze Locket

 I used traditional silversmithing techniques such as roll milling and soldering to construct this lovely bronze locket. The arched metal frame adds to it's looking like a little doorway into Faerie! I love creating mystery with textures and surface designs. This embossed locket features a symmetrical design on the front, and a fern frond on the back, as well as neo-Gothic sterling trim. Just inside the door is a small imprint of a fern on sterling silver. This locket is just under 2 inches tall, 1 inch wide and about 3/8 of an inch deep. I’ve pictured it here on a 24 inch long sterling rolo style chain. In one of the images it is on a petite mannequin. Bronze will tarnish, but can be brightened with a polishing cloth. It is not water tight. What magic will you store inside this truly one of a kind piece?
