Embossed Sterling Keepsake Box

Tiny things are entrancing to me. I just adore wee containers! I made this sterling box using traditional silversmithing techniques such as roll printing, hollow form construction. It was entirely hand made to hold this small corked  jar. The surfaces are embossed with a brocade pattern evocative of textiles  from the past, enhancing its romantic aesthetic. It’s simple profile intrigues the viewer who wonders what secrets it contains. I’ve added a swatch of felt so the bottle won’t rattle, but you may prefer a scrap of silk or other fabric remnant that holds meaning for you. It comes on a very long, 30” rolo style chain. Due to the size of the box, I just felt that it should hang below the bustline. Shorter chain is available should you prefer.
