Reversible Copper Pendant","description":"\u003cp\u003eI created this copper pendant using dies inspired by turn of the century jewelry, in my manual hydraulic press. (And wow was it a struggle my arm is worn out!) once the metal pieces were pressed, I sawed them out and riveted them together with tiny sterling silver rivets. I soldered on a loop and added leather cord for a unisex look. This pendant is large, it’s 1 and 3\/4 inches wide. It has a beautiful rainbow patina that is caused by heat, which I left intact. This will probably change with time. Be aware that polishes or jewelry cleaners could remove this patina. Leaving it in a very hot car could also affect the patina. I did not coat it with shellac because that will sometimes diminish the effect. And then the clear coatings do not last, so as they chip away, they don’t look very nice.
